A box's 4K output capability does not make every video 4K. The source, application, display and connection must support the intended format. The 15P specification lists supported decoding up to 4K at 60 fps for stated codecs; this is not an 8K playback promise.
What to check
Check the television's input and picture settings, use a suitable HDMI connection and verify the source resolution. If playback buffers, compare a local video with a network stream to separate network behavior from display setup.
Choose a device for documented codec and connection needs. Avoid unmeasured superlatives such as best picture quality across every application.
